What is an Animal Death Doula?

An animal death doula is a non-medical support person who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to people and their companion animals. We work alongside and in harmony with veterinary teams, bodyworkers, therapists, and other members of the care team at the end of life — and, where needed, as the primary support person for the family.

Animal Death Doulas’ provide a safe space for processing and working through everything that comes up in death. Working towards bringing animal guardians and their animals meaning, comfort, and dignity throughout the end-of-life experience.
