What does an Animal Death Doula...do?
If you’ve ever loved an animal, you know their time with us is never long enough. When the end nears, the journey can feel overwhelming. The emotions, caretaking, decisions, and unknowns are a lot to carry alone. That’s where an Animal Death Doula comes in.
I will walk beside you both through the sacred transition of end-of-life. My role is to offer guidance, support, and presence—helping you navigate this journey with love, intention, and as much peace as possible.
Every doula has their own unique approach, and for me, accessibility is key. I provide 100% virtual support by phone, Zoom, or email. Ensuring that you don’t have to face this alone, no matter where you live. Having spent much of my life in rural areas I know how isolating this process can feel. My goal is to bridge that gap, offering compassionate guidance wherever you are.
In practical terms, I support you as you navigate veterinary care, at-home palliative and hospice care, euthanasia vs. natural death, aftercare, burial, and memorials. My experience holds space for both holistic and medical perspectives, allowing me to walk with you through the decisions and emotions that arise during this time.
The key thing is that as your Doula, it is my duty to support you on your journey without judgment and ensure that you are listening to your inner wisdom and your animal’s voice. Moving through with as much knowledge as possible. Our time together is a safe space for you to process.
On a soul level, a lot is happening for both the dying animal and their guardian. As a spiritually guided death doula, I am with you to explore what this transition means for you—offering space for reflection, connection, and deepening your understanding of the soul’s journey.
Another area I can work within is empowering you to discover your Animal Soul Contracts—the agreements our souls make before we even meet in this lifetime. These contracts guide our relationships, shaping the lessons, love, and challenges we experience together. By recognizing and honouring these soul agreements, we can find deeper meaning in our animals’ transition and the wisdom they leave behind.
With a background in photography, design, and art, I believe art is a powerful and therapeutic way to process and honour both our emotions and our animals.
Memorials aren’t just about remembrance—they are healing expressions of love. Whether we find a way to express what's happening in a sketchbook or through planning out custom artwork, keepsakes, or symbolic rituals, I am here to help you create meaningful ways to celebrate their life and your bond.
